Quiz night

This April saw E97 Old Boys and the RBPS Parents Association host a Quiz Night at the Prep School with all the funds raised going directly to The RBPS Vuleka Trust.

It was such a fun night out, with many prizes to be won and lots of laughs had by all.

On our Vuleka Team we had three E76 Old Boys and am glad to report that they definitely still have their competitive edge and incredible acumen!

A very big Thank You to all the teams for purchasing tickets and supporting us. Then to the PA who set up the hall, arranged the food and ALL the wonderful prizes(there were many!!) Plus the raffle that raised an additional R3000,00 for the RBPS Vuleka Trust. And of course, who could forget the hilarious Quiz Masters, the evening would have not been the same without you.

We are so appreciative of the support and cannot wait for the next Quiz Night!

THANK YOU

We couldn't have done it without you!!!

Last year we applied for and were granted 20 charity entries
for the Cape Town Cycle Tour.

Of the 20 entries we had 9 riders from Grassroots Youth Academy and 7 riders from Rondebosch Boys High School ride for us.

I am happy to report that ALL our riders crossed the finishing line!!!

These 16 young gentleman were sponsored by Corporates and Individuals alike  - Without the support of Corporates and Individuals the dream of riding the CTCT would not have been a realization for some of these boys. We thank you for your constant support which continues to inspire us to provide a quality education to underprivileged youths and we look forward to continuing to empower the youth with your constant valued support.

The Grassroots Cyclists the day before the CTCT. Thanks to Sunglass Hut for the AMAZING Sunglasses, such an unexpected but very much appreciated donation!!!

We are extremely happy to announce that all of our entries for the Cape Town Cycle Tour have been sold!

Last year, 15 charity entries were allocated to the trust by the CTCT organising committee and 15 riders representing the trust took part in the event. This included 5 scholars from disadvantaged communities who were sponsored by companies in the total amount of R24 750. The other 10 entries were sold on to individuals which resulted us in raising R100 949 through this event alone.

These fifteen entries that we received will cover the costs of our 3 bursary boys for 1 year!

This year we applied for and were granted, again, 15 charity entries for the Cape Town Cycle Tour which we have sold. We have riders between the ages of 14-16 who belong to the Heinz Park cycling club and this will be their first CTCT. They have been riding registered races with the The Power Pedal Association, mostly as a warm-up/practise for the CTCT.

Returning from last year, Justice Makhale (39 from Pretoria) well known as a professional mountain biker will represent The RBPS Vuleka Trust. He will also be back later this year to compete in the Cape Epic!

Eden to Addo 2016

Fundraising Initiative

In September: four determined women; Helen During, Debbie Stegman, Jo-Anne Sedgwick and Lisa Walters, will embark on a 400 km hike over the strenuous Baviaanskloof mountain range to raise money for the RBPS Vuleka Trust. Together the four will walk 1600 km over three weeks, enduring  sub-zero nights, bucket baths and long drops. They will average 20 km's a day, with the longest day being a 35 km hike and the shortest being 12 km's.
This hike is considered to be one of the toughest hiking trails in South Africa.

Our goal is to raise R200 000 for the Vuleka Trust
We would deeply appreciate your becoming part of our
initiative by sponsoring us.
Any amount is welcome.

These monies will cover the foundation phase school fees (Grades 1, 2 and 3) for two new boys through 2017, 2018 and 2019.

The RBPS Vuleka Trust is a SARS registered Section 18A PBO Fund and all donations are tax deductible.
